since then

It was my first 4th of July this weekend. It was cool to see it, the fireworks was amazing! so muck people on the streets just happy and chearing.
In Sweden we don't celibrate in the same way because it's "bad", you are a rasist if you love your country basicly, witch is the dummest thing! Be grateful for what you got!

We went to Orlando and Universal Studios, Island of Adventure and SeaWorld last weekend and that was amazing! Soo much fun and I made myself ride all rollercoasters even though I did'nt dare to.
Mylene, Paul, Me and Erik
Flamingos :)
my favorites was the killer whales! soo facinating! The Rollercoaster Manta was the best one! Head first and many loops :)

Finally!!

Now I and Hemi are in Florida! The flight over went well and Hemi slept all the way, we arrived at night and then we went out for dinner at Cityplace in West Palm beach.

The first day we went to the beach with the dogs and they had a lot of fun even though Hemi didn't like the water... He is more af a towel dog

Today we're going to Orlando because we are going to Sea World and Universal studios for the weekend.

Happy Midsummer!!!

Lexington summer collection

I saw this pictures and I just loved it, I must have those towels!!
I just love the summer season and these colours reperesend the summer for me.

Spotted

I saw the lipstick and the nailpolish in the store the other day and they were really big! Little expensive in the store, I would buy them on internet with free shiping all over the world even cheaper.

Jimmie Martin meets BOLON

Jimmie Martin has designed a mat in cooperation with Bolon a Swedish flooring company.
You can get the mats in several colours and materials and even match it with a chair in Bolon fabrics.

"The collection introduces a female design with a stylishly elegant yet provocative and sexy pattern. The idea is that the pattern invites the customer to take a closer look at its design and effect. Both companies have a dynamic and daring approach that led to a burst of creativity the moment they met."

H&M Home

I've ordered cushions from H&M´s home collection and some fabrics to go with the cushions. Two pillows in Liselotte Watkins design and fabrics in a similar design (above).
And a pink and a black pillow like the ones below.

The fabric will I sew something of or maybe use on a chair´s seat, we'll see.

Ikea favorites

I took a look at Ikea´s homepage and found somethings I like.
The cabinet called Trollsta and the little side table´s with the same name are very stylish in my opinion, minimalistic but with a touch of glam!
There is a bigger sideboard in the Trollsta collection but the design on that is a little too much allmoge, as we say in sweden, for my taste.
The two candle holders is called Skimmer and comes in several designs, they would fit right on the side table and cabinet.
The rug, Ikea Stockholm Rand, comes in two sizes, the biggest one is really big, wich I like a lot!
And at last the candle tray Gränum.
I can totaly see myself buying these things! Usualy I like to avoid Ikea as much as I can, because everyone in Sweden has the same furniture, but when we live in Miami it wont be as common.

JimmieMartin furnitures

I read an article in Swedish Elle Interör (Elle Decor) about a swed, Jimmie Karlsson, who lives in London and runs a company with his campanion, Martin Nihlmar. They design old furniture and make a new one out of it. I love the artwork they're doing. I've seen their work many times but not known that they are swedish.
A dream is to order a furniture and make it very colorful and put it in a livingroom or an hallway. I think it would fit right in, in Miami, in our home to be...

Stockholm Art

I love this illustrations of Stockholm. I've wanted to find something nice to hang on the wall in Miami and I think this ones would be great! The illustrators name is Henrik Markhede and he is originally an arkitekt. I like the two at the top best. the red one is very nice too, but it´s soldout unfortunately.

Too bad this daybed is not avaiable in the USA, only Scandinavia. Otherwise I would consider buying one for our future garden. I love the concept and I would spend every time I can in it, it's even called "Miami daybed". But there is no problem in getting something like that in Miami I think, every hotel got them. :)

Jelly bean

I love this colorful tableware, it reminds me of the summer, swedish summer off course. This is a swedish trademark, Jelly bean. I really like the cockie plates especially the ones with several stories. Maybe I'll order something to take with me to the US :) It would be nice to have some scandinavian design in our home :) I think I'll be more patriotic when I actually don´t live in Sweden.

Bautiful vase!

I love this vase! It's the same designer as in the last post, Åsa Jungnelius. I think I will buy me a vese like that when I have the opportunity sometime.

Nailpolish jungle?

The new designer Åsa Jungnelius at Kosta Boda Glassworks in Sweden has designed this 44,5cm high (17,5"). It's a limited edition and it comes in red and pink at least. The price tag is from about 2500 dollars. There is also a smaller one, that's not limited. It costs $95. In the collection there is also a lipstick but it's only available in the smaller size.

nailpolish 19,5cm high (7,5") and lipstick 21cm high (8,2")
